Rethinking Magic Bullet

So a couple posts ago I kinda recommended the Magic Bullet (a little blender).

Well now ours has broken. The motor still runs fine but the place where the blade screws in is stripped (I could spend a couple paragraphs explaining what that means in detail but just know that it doesn't blend any more).

We haven't had it that long. I'm going to call the company tomorrow. I'll let you know how that goes.

But I just didn't want people to buy one on my recommendation and then be disappointed.

Smoothy

Arial and I are trying to cut down on our weight. We've stopped eating ice cream and pretty much stopped snacking all together.

But we recently got a "magic bullet". It is like a personal sized blender. So we've started making smoothies.

A regular smoothy (or at least what we make) is fruit, Ice and milk, all blended up. We've tried several different fruits and I've decided that bananas are the absolute best because they are more viscus and less wattery. Pears were the worst, they made a disgusting smoothy.

Occasionally, I freeze bananas when it appears that we aren't going to be able to eat them. I peal and break them in half and put them in a big ziplock bag. (It is vitally important to peal them first. Just trust me on that.) They actually make a pretty good frozen snack, but I digress.

So, I threw a couple frozen banana halves as the fruit in my smoothy and blended it up. It came out pretty close to the consistency of ice cream. It doesn't taste quite like ice cream but it is pretty good and also filling.

So that is my tip; frozen banana smoothies are like ice cream.
