FF: Results Week 12

This week the league scored the highest number of points all season. With a total of 1012, we beat the previous high (wk10: 895) by more than a hundred points.

USC(1.1) 111
Snap(8.9)62
USC routed Snap It to keep hold of the number one spot. He is assured a bye in the playoffs since he has the tie breaker against the teams that could tie his record. Congrats. The loss puts Snap It out of playoff contention. Interestingly enough, this is the first time that Snap It had the lowest weakly point total.

Smash(8.8) 106
Spies(3.3) 120
The Spies narrowly beat SmashPanic. She did it in standard form, by playing all of her highest point scorers. SmashPanic however, would have won if he would have started any other quarter back. This loss also ends his playoff chances. The spies are still in the hunt for a playoff bye. If she beats PADS next week, she will take it (because they will have split their series and she will have the secondary tie breaker, total points).

Kato(5.5) 74
PADS(1.2) 131
PADS took Kato basically by having more high scoring players. He is still tied for first place but he needs a win next week to get the bye. This loss by Kato leaves the door opened a crack for Dragon Run. PADS extends the longest current winning streak to 4 games.

XII(5.6) 93
POW(10) 114
Xillers II was the first to lose to KatoBack and now he is the first to lose to POW. Fortunately for him, he is guaranteed a playoff spot because of the loss by all of the teams below him in the standings.

Drago(7) 93
Expo(3.4) 108
Expo's win is a hollow one since she is now out of the running for the playoff bye. The loss was pretty bad for Dragon Run. To make the playoffs, he needs to win next week and have KatoBack lose.

Here are the standings. They are now in the order of their tournament hopes.

Seed Rank Team Record Points Streak
1 1.1 USC 9-3-0 1157 W2
2 1.2 PADS 9-3-0 1178 W4
3 3.3 Spies 8-4-0 1202 W3
4 3.4 Expo 8-4-0 1189 W1
5 5.5 Kato 6-6-0 991 L2
6 5.6 XII 6-6-0 1127 L1
- 7 Drago 5-7-0 1013 L3
- 8.8 Smash 4-8-0 1069 L3
- 8.9 Snap 4-8-0 942 L1
- 10 POW 1-11-0 279 W1

This week:

POW(10) vs USC(1.1)
In the least consequential game of the week, POW and USC face off. USC is guaranteed a bye and POW can't make the playoffs. Xillers II will be routing for POW since he doesn't want to be the only team that lost to them.

Expo(3.4) vs Kato(5.5)
With a win, Expo will move into third place but with a loss, she will stay at 4th. Dragon Run needs a Kato loss here.

Smash(8.8) vs Drago(7)
SmashPanic could be the spoilers here. Dragon Run needs a win to have a hope at the post season.

XII(5.6) vs Snap It(8.9)
In the second least consequential game, Xillers II play for the possibility of fifth place. I guess this one is for pride.

PADS(1.2) vs Spies(3.3) (GOTW)
The winner of this game determines who gets the first round bye. That should be exciting.

Good luck this week

FF: Results Week 11

Remember that because of thanksgiving, you need to set up your team earlier this week (ie there is are games on Thursday).

Drago(6.7) 78
USC(1.2) 91

Dragon Run needed to win this game and he would have if he had started his backup QB. But USC is glad that Leftwich's great game was unforeseeable.

Expo(1.1) 58
XII(6.6) 141

Xillers II grabbed the high score of the year to beat Expo (who had the low score of the week). This dropped Expo out of the first place tie.

POW(10) 62
PADS(1.3) 99

I know that POWs starters sucked this week but they were good last week, so I don't want to hear about it anymore. I'm sure that PADS didn't mind.

Spies(4.4) 100
Kato(4.5) 95
(GOTW)
The Spies edged out KatoBack by benching all the right people. Her bench scored a total of zero points.

Snap(9) 79
Smashpanic(8) 78

In an amazingly close game, Snap It has nearly killed SmashPanic's playoff hopes. The teams were tied late into Monday nights game when Snap It's WR caught a 1 pt pass to take the game. This is the second week in a row that Snap It has one by a point, which he deserves. We all remember the controversial one point loss to the Spies when Snap It lost his star RB due to glitches.

Here are the standings. They are now in the order of their tournament hopes.

Seed Rank Team Record Points Streak
1 1.1 USC 8-3-0 1046 W1
2 1.2 PADS 8-3-0 1047 W3
3 3.3 Spies 7-4-0 1082 W2
4 3.4 Expo 7-4-0 1081 L2
5 5.5 Kato 6-5-0 917 L1
6 5.6 XII 6-5-0 1034 W2
- 7 Drago 5-6-0 920 L2
- 8.8 Smash 4-7-0 963 L2
- 8.9 Snap 4-7-0 880 W2
- 10 POW 0-11-0 165 L11

Playoff rundown:

USC and PADS have a lock on the playoffs. They are just playing to get the first round byes.

The Spies and Expo are pretty much assured a spot. It is still possible (I think) for one of them to fall out but that is highly unlikely. I'm pretty sure that 7 wins gets you in the playoffs. These two are also hoping to snag one of those byes.

KatoBack and Xillers II are holding onto the last playoff positions.

But Dragon Run is only one game out. He has a real chance at the playoffs, especially if KatoBack starts losing since he has the head to head advantage.

SmashPanic and Snap it are pretty much out of the playoffs. Theoretically, there is still a chance that one of them can make it, but I'm not even sure of that.

This week:

USC(1.1) vs Snap(8.9)
Snap It can be a spoiler of USC's bid to be a top seed.

Smash(8.8) vs Spies(3.3)
SmashPanic can do the same spoiling action to the Spies.

Kato(5.5) vs PADS(1.2)
Another week of confliction in my house, I want PADS to win so KatoBack falls but Arial wants the opposite so she has a chance at a bye.

XII(5.6) vs POW(10)
I'm going to try to convince Arial to set up POW this week for me, so that I don't subconsciously sabotage him.

Drago(7) vs Expo(3.4)
Dragon Run needs this win to keep close to the playoffs. Surprisingly, Expo would like to win this as well.

Good luck this week

FF: Results Week 10

Week 10 was interesting... in a strangely predicted way. The outcome of four of the games was the same as the last meeting.

USC(1.2) 71
XII(7.8) 102
In a shocking turn of events, Xillers II beat USC for the second time this season. This brings Xillers II up to .500 and puts him in a tie for the last playoff position with Dragon Run. Xillers II has tie breaker. USC is now in a three way tie for first and he also has the tiebreaker over Expo and PADS.

Drago(4.5) 59
PADS(3) 96
With this win PADS put himself into a three way tie for first while Dragon Run fell into a tie for 6th. Since Dragon Run doesn't have the tie breaker over Xillers II and doesn't play him again, he will need some help.

Spies(4.4) 115
Expo(1.1)96
Repeating history, the Spies knocked off Expo, giving Expo only her third loss. Since USC also lost, Expo maintained the tie for first. The Spies moved within a game of first.

Snap(9) 104
POW(10) 103
The Game of the week lived up to the hype. Snap It squeaked by with 10 points from his Monday night running back to overtake POW. This gives Snap It a much needed win and proves that POW would have had a great season had he stuck to it. POW is no longer a gimme.

Smash(7.7) 59
Kato(4.6) 90
In what has been seen as a loss for all humans, SmashPanic lost to KatoBack. Eli Manning made 4 interceptions for SmashPanic and KatoBack pounced all over him.

Rank Team Record Points Streak
1.1 Expo 7-3-0 1023.00 L1
1.2 USC 7-3-0 955.00 L2
1.3 PADS 7-3-0 948.00 W2
4.4 Spies 6-4-0 982.00 W1
4.5 Kato 6-4-0 822.00 W4
6.6 XII 5-5-0 893.00 W1
6.7 Drago 5-5-0 842.00 L1
8 Smash 4-6-0 885.00 L1
9 Snap 3-7-0 801.00 W1
10 POW 0-10-0 103.00 L10

This week:

Drago(6.7) vs USC(1.2)
Dragon Run is on the bubble and USC is trying to hold onto first place. Both teams want to win... okay, I guess that's a given. USC beat DragonRun in their last game.

Expo(1.1) vs XII(6.6)
This is the same situation as the Drago vs USC game, with both teams tied for important spots. This has the intra-house drama added. Expo won the last time they met.

POW(10) vs PADS(1.3)
POW is no pushover anymore and PADS needs this win to stay in first place.

Spies(4.4) vs Kato(4.5) (GOTW)
The fourth place teams battle it out. The winner is nearly assured a playoff spot and the loser could fall onto the bubble. The Spies won their last meeting.

Snap(9) vs Smashpanic(8)
Snap It could completely dash Smashpanic's playoff hopes with a win here. It might be too soon to count Snap it out of the playoffs. Smashpanic won their last encounter.

Good luck this week

FF: Results Week 9

Week 9 was the lowest scoring week all year for our league.

This is the last week that POW is a bye. From now on, POW will have starters.

Kato(5.7) 98
USC(1) 82
In an amazing upset, Kato gave USC his second loss. USC had an uncharacteristically low score and Kato had the second highest score.

This came as a disappointment to the teams on the bubble for the playoffs. There may be three human run teams sitting out the playoffs this year.

POW(10) 0
Smash(8) 70
This is the last bye. I've just set POWs roster.

Expo(2) 75
Snap(9) 62
Expo edged past Snap it to take a share of number 1. This extended both of their streaks to 5 games. It has been a good five games for Expo and a sad five games for Snap It.

Drago(5.5) 73
Spies(3.3) 60 (GOTW)
DragonRun beat the Spies. There have been rumors that the Spies threw this game since she didn't start a defense. Although, I haven't discussed this with either party, I suspect that this was an oversight on her part.

XII(5.6) 86
PADS(3.4) 113
PADS has awoken.

Rank Team Record Points Streak
1.1 Expo 7-2-0 929.00 W5
1.2 USC 7-2-0 884.00 L1
3 PADS 6-3-0 852.00 W1
4.4 Spies 5-4-0 867.00 L1
4.5 Drago 5-4-0 783.00 W1
4.6 Kato 5-4-0 732.00 W3
7.7 Smash 4-5-0 826.00 W1
7.8 XII 4-5-0 791.00 L1
9 Snap 2-7-0 697.00 L5
10 POW 0-9-0 0.00 L9

With 4 games left in the season, let's take a quick look at the playoff situation.

First the top. While Expo has more points than USC, USC beat Expo head to head early this season. They don't meet again in the regular season so Expo is going to have to win this outright if she wants to take the top seed in the playoff tournament.

Now the bottom. I don't think that anyone is mathematically eliminated from the playoffs yet. Smashpanic and Xillers II are within striking distance. Even Snap It may still have a shot. (I'm not sure though. He would have to win out and Kato, XII and Smashpanic would have to have miserable season endings).

Now for next week.

USC(1.2) vs XII(7.8)
Both teams need a win (USC to stay at #1) but Xillers II need it badly to stay in playoff contention. Xillers II is one of USC's 2 losses but how many times can he pull an upset.

Drago(4.5) vs PADS(3)
Both teams off a win. Both teams would like another to pad their playoff chances.

Spies(4.4) vs Expo(1.1)
The Spies won the last encounter but now Expo is at the top of the league. Should be interesting.

Snap(9) vs POW(10) (GOTW)
This is the first week that POW will start players. That alone is worth watching but Snap It also needs a win to salvage something from this season. Good luck, Snap It.

Smash(7.7) vs Kato(4.6)
It seems like these two meet every week. Both teams are near the playoff cutoff and both want a win.

Good luck this week

FF: Results Week 8

Sorry this is so late. I was at a conference early this week and it has taken me this long to get my bearings. Anyway, here are the results for week 8.

Smash(6.6) 78
USC(1) 93
USC fended off the upset even though he got rid Dallas Clark for some other D. Clark (who then proceeded to score no points). The strong showing of Carson Palmer made the difference in this close game.

Kato(6.8) 98
Snap(9) 57
Kato (who shouldn't really be doing as well as she is) soundly defeated Snap It. Snap It's woes continue into his fourth straight loss.

Spies(4.4) 89
POW(10) 0
The Spies one... er... won.

PADS(2.3) 53
Expo(2.2) 112 GOTW
The game of the week was a blowout. I'm not really sure what is happening to PADS. He has inexplicably stopped scoring big. Expo however is still putting up strong numbers (even when her QB scores 0 points).

XII(6.7) 126
Drago(4.5) 118
As so often happens (or at least it seems that way), the top two scorers for the week played each other. Dragon Run was on the unfortunate side of that encounter, losing by only 8 points. He would have made up those points if he had realized earlier that Moss sucks and put in Curtis instead. But then, I would be writing this tale of woe for Xillers II.

Rank Team Record Points Streak
1 USC 7-1-0 802.00 W4
2 Expo 6-2-0 854.00 W4
3.3 Spies 5-3-0 807.00 W2
3.4 PADS 5-3-0 739.00 L2
5.5 Drago 4-4-0 710.00 L2
5.6 XII 4-4-0 705.00 W2
5.7 Kato 4-4-0 634.00 W2
8 Smash 3-5-0 756.00 L2
9 Snap 2-6-0 635.00 L4
10 POW 0-8-0 0.00 L8

Kato(5.7) vs USC(1)
KatoBack has been doing well lately but can she match USC?

POW(10) vs Smash(8)
This is the last week of the POW bye week. Next week, POW gets a starting line-up.

Expo(2) vs Snap(9)
Both teams have 4 game streaks. Expo wants to extend both and Snap It wants to break both (pun purposefully avoided.

Drago(5.5) vs Spies(3.3) (GOTW)
This in-house rivalry looks to be good. A DragonRun win will put them in a tie together but a loss will have DragonRun in uncertain playoff waters.

XII(5.6) vs PADS(3.4)
PADS has been in a slump. Xillers II hopes that continues.

Good luck all.
